Competence Centre for Aging (CCA) at SUPSI
The Competence Centre for Aging (CCA) offers a welcoming and collaborative interdisciplinary, multi-professional team of around twenty people. It conducts targeted research activities to increase knowledge about the elderly population and individual aging, promote the well-being and quality of life of older people, and support professionals active in the sector. The CCA cultivates excellent synergies with local partners and benefits from fruitful collaborations with national and international institutes.
Key Responsibilities
- Select illustrative examples of success or failure in innovative developments, as well as translational methodology resources from scientific or grey literature, making them easily accessible to an audience—whether professional or lay—that is not expert in translational research methodology.
- Extract data and design questionnaires, workshop materials, and consensus-building resources.
- Conduct individual interviews.
- Process data from surveys and consensus procedures.
- Contribute to project management and maintain relations with other colleagues or external collaborators involved.
- Contribute to scientific output (reports, scientific publications, presentations at national and international conferences, and other promotional/dissemination material).
- Develop personal expertise in the field of aging research and translational research methodology.
- Integrate collaboratively into the CCA’s activities, promoting a constructive atmosphere within the center.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in psychology, neuropsychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in research methodology, particularly translational research.
- Practical experience in the translational process and skills in regulatory sciences are highly desirable.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative research methods.
- Ability to interact with professionals from different fields and various stakeholders.
- Creativity, along with strong communication and writing skills. An entrepreneurial spirit, adaptability, and flexibility.
- Fluency in English and Italian is a mandatory requirement; knowledge of another Swiss national language is an asset.
